Fossella's Folly

If you're going to run as a family values candidate, make sure that your own family values are up to snuff. Rep. Vito Fossella (R-NY) didn't heed that warning, and we're now learning of his love child and extramarital affair after a DUI arrest in Virginia.

Embattled Staten Island Rep. Vito Fossella finally came clean yesterday - admitting he's been living a double life and has a love child through a longtime extramarital romance.

"I have had a relationship with Laura Fay, with whom I have a 3-year-old daughter," the married Fossella acknowledged in a statement after days of evasion.

Nice. Stay classy Vito.

Fossella's hometown paper, the Staten Island Advance is calling on him to resign.
