Corzine Retreating On Pledge To Shut State Parks To Close Budget Gap

Apparently New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine is having second thoughts about closing nine state parks to save a couple million dollars this year. He admits that the closures probably wont survive the budget process.
But he tells the editorial board for the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill that it's ``pretty obvious'' those proposals will be reworked as the July 1 budget deadline nears.

Corzine's proposed cuts have been decried by legislators, lobbyists, citizens and farmers.
