Thank you to all those who have earned this nation's highest honor. You don't win the Medal of Honor, you earn it with blood, sweat, and in many cases, giving your life so that your fellow soldiers, sailors, and Marines can live to fight another day.
3,463 men have received the Medal of Honor. The 3,464th, Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael A. Monsoor, a Navy SEAL, will posthumously receive the Medal of Honor in a White House ceremony currently scheduled for April 8, 2008.
