Headaches For Democrat Bigwigs

I can't help but having a smile on my face as the Democrats face the prospect of not only a brokered convention, but a huge mess on their hands and Hillary will try to pry the nomination from Obama's hands by any and all means necessary - claiming that she deserves the FL and MI delegates to be seated (in her favor of course).

We might get a do over of the FL and MI primaries as a sop to her, but what then was the punishment to the states for pushing up their elections? The DNC punished both states by refusing to seat any state's delegates who moved up their primaries ahead of the schedule set by the DNC. If they hold a new primary, how is that a punishment? If they seat the delegates, despite the punishment, how is that a punishment, and it actually serves as a double punishment on the wrong candidate - Obama followed the rules and didn't put himself on the ballot in either state. Clinton did, and she'd benefit from the rules violations - that's how badly she wants to win the nomination.

Hillary won last night, taking Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island, which closed the gap, but she's still behind Obama in the delegate count. She's going to claim that they're tied (they're not). She's going to claim that this makes it a whole new race (it does not). It does, however, show that people have real issues with Obama (not like they don't have huge problems with Hillary). Both candidates are flawed - show me their experience and achievements (anyone? Bueller?)

So, they'll head in to the convention pretty much deadlocked, and the party insiders will have a headache on their hands of epic proportions. And they'll have no one to blame but themselves.
