Why would the USSS (that's the United States Secret Service) say that security is too tight and should be loosened at an Obama event?
In Dallas, no less. Local police wondered what that was about. I'd be asking questions too.
I have to wonder whether the Obama campaign complained to the USSS that their supporters were having to wait too long to get into the event, the USSS relented, and they in turn told the local PD to stop checking everyone, so that they could all get in to see Obama.
If that were the case, the USSS should have politely declined and told Barack that the security is there for his own well-being, and his supporters would be checked nonetheless.
This is a screwup on someone's part, and security precautions should be reviewed.
