Gaza's Mess: Courtesy of Hamas

Of course, the media sees things differently. The biased media reports, and the Palestinians themselves are whining and seething, because Israel isn't cooperating with the Palestinians' plans for Israel's destruction. Israel isn't completely sitting still and allowing Palestinian terrorists to fire rockets and mortars at Israeli citizens. Israel is going after the terrorists, which is long overdue.

A Gazan power plant has to be shut down because it doesn't have the fuel to run. Boo hoo. I'm supposed to feel sorry for Gazans because Hamas, who controls Gaza, is waging war with Israel and Israel isn't going to give Gaza fuel on which that power plant operates? Sorry, but Hamas couldn't care less about the human rights of the Palestinians, let alone those of Israelis. The only way for this crisis to end is to defeat Hamas at the war of their own making.

Hamas and the Palestinians are at war with Israel, and yet everyone in the media and the diplomats think that Israel must provide humanitarian aid to the same Palestinians. Providing that aid enables those terrorists to do several things. It means that they can ignore the humanitarian needs of the Palestinians so that they can continue with their war preparations. They can steal and siphon off humanitarian aid to use in the war against Israel. They can use the humanitarian aid to smuggle in weapons and equipment needed for the war effort.

As the New York Times reports, the UN reflexively sides with the Palestinians, "A United Nations official in Geneva on Saturday condemned Israel’s actions, particularly the bombing on Friday of an empty Hamas Interior Ministry building in a Gaza City neighborhood. Shrapnel from the missile strike killed a woman and wounded up to 46 people, some of them children, who were celebrating at a wedding party next door."

It's pathetic that the UN can't be bothered to condemn the Palestinian terrorism, because but for the incessant rocket and mortar attacks, Israel would not have conducted those airstrikes. Period. Israel has been more than restrained in its own self defense, and yet the UN, diplomats, and the media think that even the restrained actions are far too much.

UPDATE:
Carl in Jerusalem notes the media mendacity and Palestinian lies. The Israelis continue to provide 2/3 of power to Gaza, which means that there aren't any outages. It's simply more lies to use to bludgeon Israel in the media.

Israellycool also provides his daily updates.

UPDATE:
It isn't only Hamas that is behind the misery. While Hamas dominates Gaza, other terrorist groups are quite active.

This video provides some insight into how the terrorists carry out their rocket attacks (HT: NY Nana at LGF).

UPDATE:
Hamas is busy trying to artificially create a crisis in Gaza by purposefully cutting the power to the heart of Gaza City. There is more than sufficient power and generators available. Hamas is simply choosing not to use them - to spin the media and the Palestinians into a most gullible frenzy.

UPDATE:
Israel's parents should not have to consider this
. Ever. Yet, far too many in Sderot are choosing to send their kids to the US to avoid the incessant rocket attacks. Israel's leadership is wholly to blame for allowing this unacceptable situation to continue for far too long.
