Peter Jackson, the celebrated director of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, has reconciled with New Line Cinemas and will serve as executive producer for a pair of movies based on JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit.
No director has been named for the project, but this means that the movies will get done and Tolkien fans will get their dose of Bilbo Baggins after all.
