SWATted in Hoboken

The hits just keep on rolling for the Hoboken police department. Not only is the police chief involved in the Hooters shennanigans, but there are now allegations that he had members of the police force do manual labor at his home:
Now there's pictures of Police Chief Carmen L. LaBruno having fun down south, today's Jersey Journal reported. Not only that, but there also are accusations that LaBruno ordered cops to do manual labor at his home - the same allegations that led to a Hudson County Prosecutor's Office into Lt. Angelo Andriani, who is now reportedly on desk duty.

LaBruno and an unidentified woman in the French Quarter during the trip to New Orleans. The pictures reportedly came from Hoboken cops who didn't want to be identified for fear of reprisal. They said the pictures were taken during the 11-day trip to Louisiana and show LaBruno and Andriani with women in the French Quarter, according to a story in today's Jersey Journal. Among the pictures is a grinning LaBruno, holding what appears to be a video camera, with a topless woman; Andriani said that "just happened" in the French Quarter. "They did it to me and they did it to hundreds of other people," he said.

Detectives George Fonseca, James Perez and Cesar Olavarria claimed they did the work at LaBruno's home under Andriani's direction. Those three, plus Detective Mario Novo and Sgt. Edwin Pantoja, have sued the police department, claiming that Andriani is an "unabashed white supremacist."
Seems that the Department is in need of serious housecleaning.

While the photos of the Chief and the woman doing her best impression of Girls Gone Wild, the allegations that are really serious are those relating to using members of the police force to do work at LaBruno's home.

Of course, it was only last week when LaBruno came down on his fellow officers for conduct unbecoming. Pot. Meet Kettle.

How come so many government officials around the country think that those working for them are their own private workforce to do various tasks around their homes? It would appear to be almost as though they feel entitled to make such demands on their underlings.

And how long will it be before the women involved in the kerfuffle will come forward and be approached to pose in Playboy (a la the Southwest airlines passenger who was dressed too sexy to fly, but was thereafter sufficiently naked to pose in the magazine)?
