Proper Journalism

With all the focus and attention on ScottScam - The New Republic's attempt to pull a fast one on the public, it's sometimes overlooked when journalists do the right thing. This is one of those times. There were reports that two Palestinian kids were killed by some kind of an explosive device. Well, Palestinian journalists refused to be coerced into reporting that the deaths were at the hands of the Israelis, especially when it was clear that the rocket that killed them was fired by Palestinians.

This may indeed be a flying pig moment.

The Palestinian journalists have not always distinguished themselves by seeking the truth and reporting the facts, but in this instance, they did so in the face of threats and coercion. That's a good thing.
