Bad Robot: JJ Abrams Monster Flick Teaser

What do you get when you put JJ Abrams in charge of a monster movie? Well, it's apparently a cross between Alias and Lost. Alias because of the pretty people and filming style and Lost because of the monster that is as yet unseen.

The trailer definitely has an intensity to it, and it also suggests that New York City is once again ready to be demolished in the movies - all that came to a stop after 9/11, but Hollywood has figured that we're ready to have some serious scenery chewing, including the head of the Statue of Liberty tossed across Manhattan like a baseball.
