Thai Jihad Killing Spree Continues

One person here. Three more over there. Yesterday, five people were killed in separate incidents, that included a drive by shooting of a government official and bombings injured several others.

The body count is adding up as the Islamists continue their ongoing war against non-Muslims and those Muslims who simply get in the way or aren't nearly as Muslim as they are.

The Thai government continues to believe its own hype - that violence in Southern Thailand is actually decreasing.
The number of attacks on innocent people by insurgents in the deep South has decreased in recent weeks, Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont said Saturday.

Gen Surayud said he has received statistics showing that the number of bombing attacks in particular has decreased. Not that terrorist-type attacks have stopped by any means.

Early on Saturday, an unknown number of presumed insurgents killed two villagers in troubled Saba Yoi district of Songkhla province. Malaseng Hadlo and Muhammad Meesee were ambushed by unidentified gunmen as they were riding a motorcycle home.

Police inspecting the crime scene Saturday morning were impeded as spikes were strewn on road to prevent pursuit.

The killings occurred in the so-called red zone area, where insurgents are active, so the responding security team could not travel by foot.
Bombings have been replaced by drive by shootings of government officials and soldiers, though the bombings continue without any sign of a letup.
