A new message from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has hit the Internet and experts are rushing to figure out whether it's a new video, recut from old video, or cutting room floor snippets. Hot Air has more, as does CNN. From what has been released thus far, it appears that there's no time specific issues in the video, so it could have been made at any time.
Ayman Zawahiri has released three tapes in the last two weeks, and now an Osama tape has surfaced. The obvious concern here must be whether there are embedded messages to jihadi cells around the world to get their plots underway.
UPDATE:
Laura Mansfield has a translation of the Osama portion of the video.
UPDATE:
Kim at Wizbang is also blogging the new tape release, though it appears to be a clip from a previous tape. Might this also be a signal that Osama is actually dead, since they can't produce a new tape with some reference to current events?
