Near History

I had attended the Met-Nationals baseball game yesterday with Mrs. Lawhawk courtesy of Legalbgl and his wife, and it turned out to be quite the experience. In a rain shortened game, John Maine nearly threw a no hitter, which would have been the first in Mets history. But for a first inning single, he mowed down the Nationals in a rain shortened game.

Still, it was quite fun watching the game and a few foul balls wandered into our general vicinity. Nothing too close, but it did make me wary of breaking out the camera during the action. Here are a few pictures from the game and rain delay:
