Rocket Man

Just when you thought that the Roger Clemens saga would just begin in earnest, we find out that he's already signed with the Yankees and will join the team on June 1. The Yankees had been a leading contender to get the aging pitcher over the Astros or Red Sox.

The Yanks could definitely use another quality pitcher given the way injuries have depleted their staff, including Carl Pavano whose spent more time on the disabled list than actually on the hill. He would instantly become their ace in the hole.

And Clemens will cost a bargain basement $4.5 million. Per month. That's not bad if you can get it.
