Beauty queen Lauren Nelson has told prosecutors that she has no problem testifying against men she helped arrest in a Long Island sex sting. A day earlier, prosecutors said Nelson was not available to testify.Prosecutors noted yesterday that they weren't able to get her to come back and testify, which put a number of prosecutions in jeopardy all because of the publicity stunt.
Miss America and "America's Most Wanted" TV show helped Suffolk County Police with an Internet sting last week. She pretended to be a 14-year-old girl and while in a chat room, talked eleven men to come to a house in Bay Shore to have sex with her.
Police and TV crews were waiting when the men showed up.
But the Suffolk County district attorney said The Miss America Organization was not going to have Lauren Nelson testify against the men. However, yesterday the organization said she would work with the prosecutors and testify.

On Second Thought
It would appear that Miss America, Lauren Nelson, has had second thoughts about not wanting to come back to Long Island to testify against the sex predators that she helped pick up in a law enforcement sting operation. Ms. Nelson now says that she'll testify against the sex predators that were caught in the sting operation.
