There are a number of reports out of Iraq claiming that the body of one of the soldiers missing after a May 12 ambush of their US convoy while on patrol near Mahmoudiyah was recovered from the Euphrates River near Baghdad. The body was shot up so badly that it will take time to make a proper identification.
There are also reports that the other two missing soldiers were recovered, and both show signs of torture. Michelle Malkin and Hot Air have more.
The US military has been given the body recovered from the Euphrates, and will determine his identification and thereafter notify his family before making such information public.
UPDATE:
The bodies of the three missing soldiers have apparently been recovered.
