Tsunami Warning Issued

A 7.1 magnitude quake centered off the coast of Southern Taiwan has created a tsunami, which is headed towards the Philipines. However, other reports put the quake at between 6.7 and 7.2.

It was two years ago today that a massive 9.0 quake off the coast of Indonesia caused one of the worst natural disasters in the last several hundred years, when it spawned a tsunami that killed more than 230,000 people in Indonesia, Thailand, India, Sri Lankao and as far away as Africa.

UPDATE:
Fears of a tsunami as a result of today's quake have eased.
