Ridgewood Eats: Comings and Goings

There's been quite a bit of upheaval in Ridgewood New Jersey as of late. One longstanding restaurant and personal favorite, Ivangie Tea House, closed up a few weeks ago and will be replaced by a Turkish restaurant.

That's a big loss. Ivangie not only had light Asian food, but delicious bubble teas. It was regularly featured in Zagat.

The other big change is Zarole. They've been evicted. The notice of their eviction was posted on the premises, and the restaurant is no more.

Zarole was one of the highest rated restaurants in Ridgewood and all of New Jersey. It served modern French-American continental cuisine and was a destination restaurant for foodies. Apparently not enough of them showed up to discover the excellent menu.

On the other hand, I've found Natalie's to be a great little find on Broad Street. This BYO Italian fare is pretty straight forward, but all the pasta is freshly made and very well done.
