The Catch

Any baseball fan knows a good defensive play when you see one. Well, if you were watching the NLCS last nite, you didn't just see a good one by Endi Chavez in the 6th inning.

You saw one for the ages.

Hot Air has the video.

Too bad Endi wasn't 10 feet tall to snag that Molina homer in the top of the 9th inning, because that gave the series to the Cards and the Mets will now ponder what could have been for the rest of the offseason.

Allah had to rub it in with the failure that was the Yankee season cut too short. Nice. Classy.

Meanwhile, I had to deal with a somber Mrs. Lawhawk who was in mourning for her Mets last nite and this morning. Had to try hard (well, not really) to be considerate - after all, there was just a tad of gloating when my Yanks lost to the Tigers. She had to blame someone for the Met loss. Anonymous emailer - you're it. You were at the game, and they lost. So it was said, so it shall be done.
