Oriana Fallaci, an indefatigable Italian woman who repeatedly issued warnings over the clash of civilizations taking place in Europe and the failure of Islamic immigrants to assimilate into European culture has died in Florence at the age of 76.
She was apparently the first to coin the term "Eurabia" to describe the situation of Europe sliding into an Islamic mess.
As Rusty at The Jawa Report notes, Fallaci lived in New York, and not her homeland of Italy because draconian speech restrictions in Europe made it impossible for her to speak her mind freely and where she was accused of defaming Islam.
UPDATE:
Fixed factual errors (Fallaci died in Florence, not NYC).
