Are six to eight of the Marines involved in the alleged Haditha incident on the verge of being indicted for their actions? That's apparently what sources at Time Magazine believe. Hot Air has the details.
Yet, one has to wonder whether the investigators were able to convince family members to agree to the exhumation of the alleged victims so that they can be autopsied and evidence gathered that might shed more light on the incident. We've had conflicting reports about what happened, there are questions about the timeline, and various news reports are based on leaks from prosecution and defense friendly sources that can affect the disposition of the case.
For those that need a refresher on what is involved here, see my earlier coverage: The Haditha Incident, Rushing to Judgment on Haidtha, The Waiting Game, No Coverup in Haditha Incident, and Haditha Investigation Findings, among others.
Technorati: haditha, iraq, war+crimes, murder, jag, marines, investigation.
