Sudan Stops UN Mission Work in Darfur

Once again, we're seeing the regime in Khartoum doing everything imaginable to permit the violence and misery continue in Darfur. While the US and UK keep trying different diplomatic solutions to the problem at the UN, the French, Russians, and Chinese are all opposed to any kind of action that might include military action to stop the violence.

The reason is simple really. It's about the oil - and those three countries don't want to do anything to disrupt their own plans for the country; human rights be damned.
