The detainees involved knew full well what they were doing and tried to inflict injuries on the guards in a purposeful attempt to cause mayhem.
Of course the media picks up on the detainee injuries caused by the guards reasserting control over the situation and the UN report calling for the facility to be closed.
The detainees managed to use parts from fans and light fixtures in their assault on guards lured in to a cellblock where the floor that was slickened with feces, urine and soapy water in an attempt to trip the guards.
And these are the folks that the UN wants released back into circulation? Sorry, I don't buy it for a moment.
