Has the Palestinian War Begun?

It certainly appears to be the case.

“It seems that the civil war has begun,” said one medic, who did not want to give his name as gunfire echoed.

Hamas and Fatah are both engaging in military parades to show off their wares. And Palestinian police (Fatah) are clashing with Hamas terrorists. Again (as Reuters forgets all the other skirmishes and fighting that has been going on between Fatah and Hamas over the past couple of weeks).

This isn't a time to gloat, but a harsh reality check for Fatah and Hamas. Neither has ever had to deal with the consequences of governance for all these years. They could always expect the US and Europeans to jump in and save the Palestinians from their own mistakes.

And instead of doing the right thing by the Palestinian people, the first thing that Hamas does is go to war against Fatah for domination over Gaza and the West Bank.
