NYT Gets It Wrong...

The NYT website has the following posted this morning:
Quiet in Baghdad Streets
Car traffic was shut down by a daytime curfew meant to forestall any sermons at Friday Prayer that could reignite sectarian conflict. Go to article.
The curfew wasn't meant to forestall sermons. It was meant to prevent car bombs from being used to detonate outside mosques where parishoners were congregating. Big difference.
