Firestone Winery, a California producer, has come up with a novel way to support families of Marines who were killed or injured in combat. Proceeds from the sales of the wine goes to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. The idea was the brainchild of Adam Firestone, who was a Marine before going into the family business. The Marine Corps Times has more.
UPDATE:
I noticed this wine profiled when I received my most recent copy of Wine Spectator. Posted to Basil's Blog, Argghhh!, and Mudville Gazette.
UPDATE 2/22/2006:
Here's how you can purchase this wine near you. If Firestone can't deliver to you, they've also got links to distributors in many areas around the country.
