Monday morning wasn't just any other Monday morning here in the New York Metro area. The record snowfall in Central Park was only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Slippery roads, icy sidewalks, and mountains of snow piled at street corners made commuting difficult in the City, but the surburbs weren't much better.
And that doesn't count hidden dangers like potential electrocution hazards. If you think you've received a shock from a manhole or electrical box, contact 311 immediately - you could save the life of someone caught unaware of the hazard. While mass transit is the way to go, some of the train lines were having issues. The LIRR, as usual, had all kinds of problems.
