The ACLU and the 9/10 Mindset

The ACLU's lawsuit against the NSA is bound to fail because the complaint fails to actually state actual harm to the plaintiffs. It's all suppositions and conjecture. Sound and fury signifying nothing at all.

But it is also an enlightening look at the continuing 9/10 mindset of the Left. The ACLU is one manifestation of the Left's mindset, the political considerations of the Democratic party and its reaction to the Iraq campaign and the Iranian threat are others.

UPDATE:
Others catching the 9/10 mindset among the Left and the fact that the Left is working with their Bush-sucks blinders on include Mac Ranger. The fact of the matter is that the NSA program was working, and for all the bluster of the Left, most Americans agree. Even the NYT has to admit that the NSA program has done its job as AJ Strata notes. That's a must read posting. I could summarize it for you, but wouldn't do it justice.

Let it suffice that there are folks who are bellyaching that they've got a lot more work on their desks because of decisions made at the highest levels to share information between various agencies, including the NSA, CIA, and FBI. Some of these folks would much rather complain about their increased workload instead of the fact that some of the leads turn out to be solid information. No word on how many law enforcement leads on garden variety crime turn out to be useless (as a frame of reference), but the stakes are far higher in this arena.
