The Giants and Jets are splitting construction costs that could reach $1 billion, with the state providing the teams with the land and up to $30 million in infrastructure improvements. Construction is to start in early 2007.
The new stadium will be part of the larger Xanadu complex being built on adjacent land. Hopefully they'll figure out the transportation infrastructure in the area, or it will be an unmanageable mess. The renderings show a new NJ Transit station next to the stadium, and that would be a tremendous improvement over the lack of rail access to the stadium complex.
Let's see if it gets realized.
