Follow Up

Don Surber and others have noted the President's speech today, and how it continues the themes started over the weekend to counter months of spin by the media and the Left. Don highlights a portion of the speech that focuses on the threat posed by Islamofascism. This isn't the first time the President called out the Islamofascists as the enemy. That happened on October 6, 2005. What's notable is that he's not backing off those comments. He's reinforcing his earlier statements by repeating them for mass consumption.

The Islamofascists and militant Islamists are the enemy. And the President certainly appears to be trying to do a better job reminding people of that fact.

Michelle Malkin correctly notes that he must keep repeating this.

UPDATE:
Rick Moran is focused on the political repercussions of the speech and thinks that it may have come too late. I disagree. We're dealing with short attention span political theater.
