The Carnival of Prewar Intelligence

I've supplied a blog posting to this carnival, which has some of the blogging heavyweights involved.

Those involved include: Donald Sensing, Pierre Lagrand, Dean Esmay, SoCal Pundit, Shape of Days, USS Neverdock, Generation Why, Mahablog, and Richard Fernandez (Wretchard), to name but a few.

My posting suggests that no discussion of pre-war intelligence is complete without looking at UNSCAM and how Iraq gamed the system to buy itself time to hide, destroy, or deflect criticism over its WMD program. The other bloggers look at various aspects of the issue, from the political fallout to whether lying in order to protect national security is acceptable.

It's a worthy read.

UPDATE: Multiposted to Don Surber, Third World Country
