Flight 93 Memorial To Be Revised

This is good news for anyone who was offended by the use of an Islamic crescent in the memorial to the 41 Americans murdered by Islamic terrorists on 9/11 after those terrorists hijacked the flight and the passengers realized their plane was going to be used as a cruise missile to attack Washington DC. In the ensuing struggle, the plane crashed in Shanksburg, PA.
Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001, said Wednesday he would work to satisfy critics who complained that it honors terrorists with its crescent-shaped design.
Designer Paul Murdoch said he is "somewhat optimistic" that the spirit of the design could be maintained.

"It's a disappointment there is a misinterpretation and a simplistic distortion of this, but if that is a public concern, then that is something we will look to resolve in a way that keeps the essential qualities," Murdoch, 48, of Los Angeles, said in a telephone interview.
I don't think Murdoch gets it, even now. People know that symbols have meaning and the inclusion of the Islamic crescent was not tolerated.

The New York Sun noted earlier that the original design didn't even have any symbols of America included - no flags, no patriotic symbols, nothing.

Here's hoping that Murdoch figures this out.
