I've written before that I believe that Claudia Rossett should have won a Pulitzer for her work on exposing UNSCAM.
Well, I believe that Michael Yon actually surpasses the bar set by Rossett. His detailed coverage in Iraq surpasses everything that the New York Times and other mainstream media has put together. This isn't merely hyperbole on my part. Go forth and read his stuff.
Not only does he know about the military equipment and tactics that he writes, but he hits the ground with the soldiers on a daily basis and isn't holding court in some Baghdad hotel filing reports. The reports mix humor, terror, fear, sadness, happiness, and a dozen other emotions that can and do change in an instant.
