The Battle For Ground Zero, Part XXXI

In related stories, a group of 9/11 families is suing New York City over the final disposition of remains at Fresh Kills Landfill. The families, being represented by NYCLU lawyer Norman Siegel, are suing because they claim that there are still remains of their loved ones at what was previously the city's garbage dump. They want a dignified burial of the remains.

The City argues that they did everything possible to remove every last bit of remains from the pile.

Also, Congress will be holding hearings in NYC on health effects to recovery workers. Expect grandstanding and little actual science to be discussed.

UPDATE:
Governor Pataki is defending the decision to lavish millions in tax incentives on Goldman Sachs to get them to build at the site adjacent to the WTC complex.
