Able Danger: Weekend Update

Michelle Malkin has the latest, including doubts on Weldon's story and the possiblity of things turning into he said, they said, with no clear resolution.

I'm still of the opinion that it would be invaluable to hear Gorelick and others testify before Congress on the matter, which was underreported within the Commission's report.

UPDATE:
The following is a comment I posted over at LGF:
Maintaining an open mind is always a good idea. Examining the issues always requires looking at things in a critical light. That's one of the reasons I've been asking lots of questions from the moment this whole thing came to light.

So, here are a few more questions. If this truly is much ado about nothing, why did the Commission act like it got caught with its collective hand in the cookie jar, complete with crumbs running down off their collective chins?

If they had asked and answered all the relevant questions, why was it worse than pulling teeth to come to this conclusion more than a week later? The behavior smacks of a coverup, though it can be explained by pure incompetence in obtaining the details. Instead of stating that they would look into the matter, they issued categorical statements that then turned into reversals. Not good from their standpoint, and it is more than appropriate to get people interested.

That said, we still need to know more about the wall of separation from Gorelick, Berger, and others involved in that policy. It was never adequately explained why that policy would need to be expanded the way it was.
It is still relevant to ask these questions, as Discarded Lies posts. However intriguing the possibilities, I think they go too far in looking at Gorelick's motivations as a coverup for Clinton's dealings with China.
