Guess Who's Coming to the WTC Memorial

Read it all. It should make your blood boil to know that the memories of the nearly 3,000 killed at the WTC will have to share space with the likes of those involved in the memorial planning.

It's shameful.

UPDATE: Hat Tip to LGF, which has updates on the story.

I've been covering the rebuilding for quite some time, and hadn't noticed the political leanings of those involved in this particular aspect of the site's development. I've been more concerned in that structures actually get built. That's still my overwhelming concern - seeing how we are continuing to stare into an open pit. Families are getting pissed about having no permanent memorial at Ground Zero - some want the findings from Fresh Kills where all the debris from the collapsed towers returned to Ground Zero as a final resting place - and the politicians are all pointing fingers at each other, yet none possess what can be quantified as leadership skills.

The IFC is a monument to multiculturalism run amok to be sure, but nothing, and I mean nothing will be built on the site unless and until the plans for the rest of the site are set in stone. Further, it is shameful that those who designed the master plan have given 300,000 feet to this aspect of the site, while only 50,000 feet goes to an actual WTC memorial.

That, once again, shows where the priorities lay and how the Libeskind Master Plan doesn't reflect real needs for downtown, the families who lost loved ones, and the City as a whole.

UPDATE II:

Welcome Hugh Hewitt readers! Glad you can stop by and check out my latest screeds on WTC redevelopment and NYC politics (among other things).

It is impossible to have a public work or event without attracting politicians. That politicians may spoil or skew what was originally going on when they sought the limelight is probably well documented already.

Thanks for pointing it out in this particular instance, though, as some of us hadn't been paying close enough attention to the details.

"Politicians" are WHORES, plain and simple. The sell their bullshit to the sheeple, deceive them. They should all be tried for treason, convicted, and shot as their sentence.

That's how I see it..
