Gov. Pataki, probably trying to stave off criticism that he's done little to move the WTC reconstruction along, has gotten the LMDC to release plans of the Cultural Center that "... will house the site-wide visitor’s center, the International Freedom Center, and The Drawing Center. In addition to their own programming, the institutions will host other events and organizations such as the Tribeca Film Festival and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and will make the center available for community and cultural uses."
The design center was designed by Craig Dykers and Kjetil Thorsen of the Norwegian architectural firm Snøhetta.
Considering that many of the photos and images at the LMDC are based on the outdated version of the Libeskind Master Plan, one has to wonder how this fits in with the rest of the site, and where it will actually be located.
