A Case of Treason

Larry Franklin apparently transferred top secret documents to individuals associated with AIPAC, which is the America Israel Political Action Committee. If true, Franklin violated some of the most serious national security laws on the books, and should spend the rest of his life in prison (if not the death penalty).

It doesn't matter that he was doing it for a friendly nation. The rules regarding spying are unforgiving regarding who was doing the spying for whom. That the classified information went to Israel doesn't absolve Franklin of his actions.

He can and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
