Where'd the Lebanon Coverage Go?

Hat Tip: Michael Totten

He's been doing amazing work on covering the situation in Lebanon, and he's even gone over there to do original reporting, which is more than can be said for the likes of the New York Times and other mainstream media outlets. Those outlets, for all of their resources, have decided that Lebanon is not a story right now. That has a real and tangible effect on what happens in Lebanon and elsewhere. Shining a light on the democracy movement fosters similar movements elsewhere in the Middle East, plus gives free help to the movement to keep things progressing in the right direction.

Why has there been a drop off in coverage? The underlying situation is unchanged. Syria is still pulling strings, and the government is still seeking a way out to retain its power in the face of the democracy movement. Is it the lack of new massive demonstrations? Short attention spans?

I'd like to know why coverage has dried up when the story hasn't.
