The UNTrump Tower?

This is an interesting story being carried in New York Metro magazine. Trump apparently thinks that he could build the office space that the UN claims it needs for half of the $1.2 billion price tag that the UN says is needed.

Some of this may be hyperbole on Trump's part, but if Trump can get it done, he would be doing everyone a great service - saving US taxpayers from footing the bill, and giving the UN the office space it says it needs so that it can renovate the Secretariat. The New York construction market is prone to cost overruns, so this is quite a challenge.

Trump offers up a great line in relation to the story:
According to Trump, the project’s estimated price tag of $1.2 billion means “somebody is either very stupid or very crooked.” Maybe Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s “son is working on it,” he cracks, referring to the one implicated in the Oil-for-Food scandal.
No kidding.
