All Points Bulletin

A defendant on trial in Atlanta managed to grab a gun in the courtroom where he was on trial for rape, and proceeded to kill the presiding judge, a court reporter, and a marshall, before escaping the courthouse by carjacking a vehicle.

He is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
Suspect Brian Nichols was reportedly facing a retrial in a rape and kidnapping case before seizing the gun, officials say.
Beats me why anyone would snap under the circumstances - he had a good chance of getting found not guilty a second time, but now he's more than likely to meet his end in a hail of gunfire as law enforcement will take no chances when bringing him to justice.
The first shootings occurred about 9 a.m. in Judge Rowland W. Barnes' eighth-floor courtroom. Barnes was dead at the scene, Judge Gary Spencer said. A court reporter and a deputy were also killed and a deputy was wounded.
