Get With the Program Naysayers

Paul at Wizbang! offers some good advice to the naysayers. Get with the program and support the President's efforts in Iraq. The naysayers have been proven so wrong so many times over the past four years about this Administration that it is high time that they start recognizing that their obstruction and bad-mouthing of US intentions anywhere in the world is counterproductive and only shades removed from the rhetoric of our very enemies.

Consider the following:
Bush has been mocked from the left because his repeated use of the line that "the terrorists hate freedom." But for goodness sakes, listen to their own words. Abu Zarqawi himself said: "We have declared a fierce war on this evil principle of democracy and those who follow this wrong ideology..." If that's not hating freedom, I'm not sure what you call it.

The left doesn't get it. They just don't understand it. The terrorists hate the thought of freedom but the Iraqi people have wanted nothing more than to have their freedom. -- The exact point George W. Bush has been making for 3 years now.

It is important to remember that if [today's] mainstream Democrats had their way in the last 3 years, these millions of people you see dancing in the streets because they get to vote would still be living in fear of Saddam Hussein. Period.

How did it come to pass that millions of people living in a democracy rather than under tyranny is bad news for a group of people who love to call themselves "progressives?" I don't get it.
Good point.
